Lifting Mankind a Little Higher
The spectacular Cascade Mountains skyline provides a dramatic background for our unique Central Oregon community; unique because of the setting as well as the character of the people who live here.
These majestic mountain peaks serve as benchmarks for the Summit Society; recognizing those individuals who demonstrate the highest level of commitment to the quality of life within our community by giving $1,000 or more.
Living within the shadows of our peaked horizon are people in need of help: childhood trauma is felt one person, one family at a time. Individuals and families in our community are experiencing their own traumatic events such as violence, addiction, mental illness, hunger, and homelessness.
Collectively, through the spirit of leadership giving, members of the Summit Society make a difference by demonstrating uncommon benevolence in addressing local human needs to provide a safety net of services for people who are experiencing their own personal traumatic events now and those who will in the year ahead, and to prevent those events from occurring in the future. We recognize the power that comes from shared purpose and through support of the United Way of Deschutes County, your support is key.
We invite you to accept the challenge to ascend to new heights of stewardship through the Summit Society.
